Iskra tile collection is the encounter with the inherent, seemingly primitive freedom of expression in marble and sedimentary rock. The natural graphics randomly designed by Mother nature are imprinted in the porcelain material, becoming works of art that enhance and make the most refined settings unique. Surfaces with great personality and color expressed with style. An abstract painting created by Mother Earth with an irrepressible expressive force.

Inspired by an art that was widespread from the 16th to the early 20th century, Newdeco’ porcelain tile collection pays tribute to marble grit floors. Balancing geometries and colours, Newdeco’ tile collection becomes the emblem of elegance typical of noble Venetian palaces or Genoese high society - true masterpieces that contain all the tradition of timeless design.

To create the “I Calchi” collection, Edilgres created and reproduced formworks in different types of wood, using them as containment tanks for cement and mud casting. These elements were reproduced on tiles and strips of porcelain: wooden formworks with a vintage effect and casts with a contemporary and minimal style.

Stone, a primordial element and its various structures, become the subject of this new creative project. Starting by repurposing the complex simplicity of a stone from the Nordic lake. A stone characterized by a mixture of grains of various sizes, where the random variation of graininess and the change of the various shades in tone – given by the different point of its extraction – are its fundamental characteristics. To enhance these natural characteristics we immersed in a study and analysis of different cuts and tones, aiming primarily towards architectural design.
